It’s Official: Xiaomi Mi 11’s retail box will not Include a Charger

By the end of this month, the Xiaomi Mi 11 is all set to go official. There was a picture of the Mi 11 retail kit that appeared yesterday. The tipster who leaked the picture argued that the retail box is as thin as the packaging of the iPhone. He hypothesized that a charger may not be included in the Mi 11 package. Today, the company issued an official statement that the Mi 11 with a charger would not arrive.

The brand new packaging for the Xiaomi Mi 11 is seen above in the video. The organization says that it is fairly thin and light. In a bid to protect the environment, it says that it has withdrawn the charger from the retail package.

Buyers of smartphones already have chargers along with previously purchased smartphones. Shipping a new Mi 11 charger would just stress the environment, the company claims. It is certain that with phone buyers, its decision to exclude the charger will not go down well. It reiterates, however, that it is a better choice to embrace the latest trend of the industry to protect the environment.

Industry giants like Samsung and Xiaomi ridiculed Apple when it removed the charger from the retail box of the iPhone 12 series. Reports have disclosed that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21 series will also come without an in-box charger. An official statement on this has yet to be issued. Xiaomi has announced that on Monday it will hold a press conference to talk more about why it has withdrawn the charger from the Mi 11 kit.
